The new Azden SMX-PDII is a mini shotgun microphone with a balanced 3-pin XLR mic output. The SMX-PDII works perfectly with broadcast and prosumer cameras that offer phantom power such as the JVC ProHD series, the Canon XL2, the Panasonic DVX100, the Sony Z1 and PD170 cameras. This 150 mm long, 21mm diameter, uni-directional mono mic has a frequency range of 80Hz-18kHz.
